A Ramadan Tale By Cartier

Last Ramadan, Cartier celebrated the Art of Storytelling, revealing the never told story of Jacques Cartier’s travel to the Gulf in 1912. This year, the Maison continues this story with a “Ramadan Tale”, inspired from “A Thousand and One Nights.” Set in a traditional Arabian city with the moon crescent reflecting in the water, the Panther appears in the corner of a dark alley. Wherever the elegant feline passes lanterns light up, revealing, behind windows adorned with Mucharabieh, families reunited to break their fast. Through whispers and shadows, spectators feel a warm wave of emotions. As she completes her journey, the Panther overlooks the mirage of a beautifully brightened Arabian city, revealing a magical experience.

The Panthere, with its feline grace has been one of the most iconic symbol of the Maison. Inspired by Jeanne Touissant, a personality who dramatically influenced the design of the creations and envisioned a new expression of femininity. Guillaume Alix, Managing Director of Cartier Middle East stated, “Cartier has a unique and cherished history with the Middle East and is honored to be part of special moments in the region. We are deeply inspired by the spirit of generosity, sharing and gathering which are all at the essence of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

This imperative yearly rendez-vous is a symbol of Cartier’s long-standing bond with the region and appreciation to the local culture. From Cartier private Majlises all around the region, to special boutique activations, Cartier is to deliver a joyful and enchanting experience as well as a meaningful conversation.
