Visiting the Middle East, we’re fairly spoilt when it comes to outstanding airlines. World class service, luxury offerings with customer comfort front of mind and endless route options to choose from are just some of the standout qualities our national airlines possess. And it’s exactly those features that have scored Emirates the highest accolade of the year in the travel industry.
The 2018 Air Transport Awards took place earlier this week and Emirates was named as the Airline of the Year at the prestigious ceremony.
It’s the latest in a long line of accolades for the Dubai-based airline, which also boasts the title of being one of the world’s safest airlines as well as the world’s largest international airline thanks to its network of 159 destinations in 85 countries.
Just last month, Emirates revealed its newly revamped Boeing 777-200LR aircraft with a new business class cabin layout with wider and longer lie-flat seats.
What’s left to conquer? Only time will tell, it seems.
