We don't know about any of you guys, but every-time we see pictures of Blake Lively on the red carpet we always tend to ask ourselves "Is this real life or a scene straight out of Gossip Girl?" It's no secret that Lively has killer style, whether rocking princess-like ball gowns or monochrome ensembles or even taking a stroll down the city streets in casual-chic assemblage, she never fails to amaze us. What's even more impressive is the fact that the 30-year old actress does not have a stylist, she does it all by herself!
In May 2018 New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art will throw open its doors, and lay down it's red carpet for fashion's biggest night.. the Met Gala, and with Blake Lively being a busy mom of two, you would think she wouldn't have the time to play Hollywood level dress up, but when an evening out arises, she always rises to the sartorial occasion.
The blonde bombshell has had some show-stopping numbers at the Met Gala, and it’s no different for this year, she is already gearing up for the most glamorous event on the annual fashion calendar by having a certain fashion house (she refused to reveal the name just yet) work 600 HOURS on her dress! That's 23 days of consecutive work without a second of rest.
Now that we covered the fact that she definitely won't be underdressed for the night, we also found out that her accessories will be just as glamorous. "I just sent Lorraine Schwartz and Christian Louboutin my dress, and said, ‘Ok let’s do something special,’” Lively told Women’s wear daily. “They’re making something custom for it. So it’s kind of nice, because I have a bunch of artists around me who I have direct relationships with. It’s sort of a group effort with that."
Sounds like she'll be stealing the show! All the A-list celebrities attending the Gala should really step up their game or they'll end up in Blake’s shadow. What do you think? Check some of her looks below:
