In 2016 Alexa Chung launched her eponymous label, combining distinctive fabrics and prints with classic tailoring alongside more feminine designs, following several successful collaborations, campaigns and musings for some of the worlds most recognisable brands, including her first campaign with Superga.
With a successful collaboration back in 2011, the duo is back at it again to give you exactly what you need. Alexa Chung – who is known for her sharp style of Parisian chic mixed with New York edge – has returned to design her own footwear range for Superga’s SS18 collection.
This time around, Alexa keeps the signature silhouette of Superga but amps it up with a classy and rock ‘n’ roll twist. She adds in different textures like varnish, satin, cotton and terry towel in the colours white, burgundy and sky blue to create her own version of the classic 2750 (equipped with a personalised Alexa Chung logo), and mules.
"My mother wore Superga’s when I was growing up so for me they’ve always been a classic shoe and something I have incorporated into my daily wardrobe for years now. It has been wonderful to return to this brand as a designer working on a collaboration for this season because in the past Superga were one of the first companies to let me art direct a campaign for them. It feels a lot like coming home," said Alexa.
