Because designer Emilia Wickstead and British wellness brand Bodyism have joined forces to deliver a feminine and functional activewear collection for Fall 2018.
"Fun and exciting yet unexpected, this collection is inspired by the strong feminine personalities that embody the Emilia Wickstead and Bodysim brands, " the designer said in a press release. "With a strong heritage for female empowerment, Bodyism was the natural and obvious choice for my first activewear line."
She has created 13-piece range that includes leggings, sports bras, a jacket, a hoodie, sweatshirts, a crop top, a jumpsuit and a yoga mat in pastel pink and floral patterns. Wickstead's trademark florals feature heavily throughout the collection, giving a feminine edge to the hoodies, leggings and sports bras.
"We started our businesses at the same time and have constantly given advice to one another," Wickstead adds. "I have always trialled Bodyism activewear to help them make it the best product on the market. Their leggings are amazing. Obviously I am a high-waisted girl, but the cut, fit and fabrication is the absolute best."
Wickstead is the latest designer to branch into the activewear world, following in the footsteps of Giambattista Valli, Fendi and Stella McCartney, who designs a line for Adidas.
The collection is available exclusively from March 12 at Bodyism, Net-a-Porter, Selfridges and Harrods.
