"I like to eat pizza and spaghetti pomodoro, and I'm crazy for dessert. I like all of them: cassata, cheesecake, biscuits."
-Stefano Gabbana

Now you can prepare your breakfast with a touch of elegance!
Because Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg join creative forces to create Sicily Is My Love, a truly Made in Italy project where experts from the worlds of high fashion and design meet and merge to create unique domestic appliances that uncover an Italian story.
Ahead of the 2017 "Salone del Mobile" in Milan, fashion powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana unveiled a second design collaboration with Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg.
The new line of small kitchen appliances, called "Sicily Is My Love," includes a toaster, kettle, juicer, and more!
All these products are decorated with reflective interpretations of Sicilian folklore. Lemons, prickly pears, and bright red cherries are just a selection of Sicilian decorations that are framed in triangular motifs known as crocchi, that decorate these small appliances. Together with crocchi, the appliances are covered in delicate floral motifs and images of the enthralling Mount Etna, surrounded by ornamental friezes, and decorative acanthus leaves.
All these themes and decorative symbols are intrinsically tied to Sicily and the important aspects of the aesthetic of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
Three products from the line are now available to preorder at Neiman Marcus.
"So ultimately… can you buy kitchen appliances instead of art?
We definitely think so." -D&G
