OPENING CEREMONY IS THROWING A FASHION SHOW AT DISNEYLAND! The happiest place on Earth will host its first fashion show in 40 years.
Opening Ceremony has been known for experimenting with its fashion show formats, but the next move is pretty big: On Wednesday, March 7, the New York brand is going to Disneyland! It's been 40 years since the happiest place on Earth hosted a runway show, and while we never expected a brand like Opening Ceremony to choose such a children's-friendly location to showcase its Spring 2018 collection, it's also not too much of a surprise. In the past, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have thrown such fashion events as a ballet performance, a politics-fueled pageant and a one-act play. In June of last year, the two founders returned to their west coast hometown to throw a martial arts-infused spectacle in Los Angeles. With fashion's latest obsession with Disney (For example, Coach's recent collaboration with Minnie Mouse), we're anxious to see how Opening Ceremony will put its cool, downtown spin on the mega-brand. More details will be revealed across Opening Ceremony's social channels, according to a press release. We'll update you with new information as it's revealed!
