Born a Leo on the 19th of August, 1883, Gabrielle Chanel surrounded herself with models of lions in wood, silver, bronze or alabaster for her apartment at 31 rue Cambon. Now, French haute jewelry, Chanel presents the latest lion themed collection, featuring no less than 53 exceptional jewelry pieces available in yellow gold, 18K white gold and platinum, with diamonds, sapphires, topaz and beryls. Inspired by a favourite animal of Mademoiselle Chanel, the emblematic majestic feline has been a recurring symbol on many of her haute jewelry creations.
The new L’Esprit du Lion collection was designed to portray the majestic strength of the emblem and that create radiant magnetism as seen illustrated in the necklaces, multi-chain necklaces, convertible necklaces, chokers, classic and open bracelets, cuffs, earrings, rings, watches and brooches.
The lion was become the sign of her destiny and a meanING of retying the broken threads of her life.
