"Disney’s call regarding Star Wars was completely unexpected and surprised me. But I like surprises and this one particularly intrigued me!" Louboutin said in a statement, explaining how he and Star Wars Vice President and Executive Creative Director Doug Chiang brought the concept of "the Nomad Shoemaker’s masterpiece" together.
Lucasfilm unveiled Thursday Christian Louboutin’s collection of designer shoes inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Louboutin has designed four original styles based on the film’s themes and characters and while they won’t be available for retail, Jedi masters with deep pockets will be able to bid on them in a charity auction benefiting Starlight Children’s Foundation. The auction takes place from December 7 – 20.
Louboutin created exclusive shoes epitomizing the style of four of the movie’s female characters: Rey (Daisy Ridley), Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo (Laura Dern), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), and Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran).
