Wedding bells are just around the corner at the Kensington Palace! The Suits actress, Meghan Markle said “YES” to prince Harry earlier this month.
Speaking at the Sunken Garden, Prince Harry said he knew right away that Meghan was “the one” from the minute they met last year and that he is “thrilled, over the moon” for the wedding that is set to be in Spring 2018. Also, Meghan also said that she was “so very happy” to be engaged to the prince. It was love at first sight for the duo!
Kensington Palace posted the following announcement this morning.
At the Sunken, the couple showed off Meghan’s engagement ring that was designed by Prince Harry himself which he used two stones for the ring that belonged to his mother, Princess Diana.
The two stones are diamonds from the personal collection of his mother.
At the centre of the ring, is a diamond from Botswana, a country that holds a special memory for the prince who has visited many times since he was a child.
The band is made of gold and the ring was made by Cleave and Company, Court Jewellers and Medallists to Her Majesty The Queen.
Also, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh said they were "delighted" for their grandson and his bride-to-be, and "wish them every happiness”.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said: "We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”
Sources say that the couple will live together at Harry’s current home, Nottingham Cottage at the Kensington Palace.
The suits actress, will become an HRH and also a senior royal after marrying Harry and joining the Windsors.
Meghan is expected to become a duchess, just like Kate Middleton did when she become Duchess of Cambridge after saying her vows in 2011. Congrats, to the happy couple!
