In March of this year, we've all went crazy excited when Nike announced that they will be making and selling head covers or performance Hijab that are called “Nike Pro Hijab” for Muslim athletes.
Nike has said that the company had began developing the hijab after Muslim athletes have complained about wearing their usual or traditional head cover and they’ve also said that designing process took them 13 months and the final product will be available in their spring’18 collection.
Although it’s still not officially available, we still got to see the head cover being tested by an Emirate skater, Zahra Lari.

"I was thrilled and a bit emotional to see Nike prototyping a Hijab," Lari said in a statement. "I've tried so many different Hijab for performance, and ... so few of them actually work for me. But once I put it on and took it for a spin on the ice, I was blown away by the fit and the light weight.” - Zahra Lari
Over the weekend, the Fashion Forward Dubai Season 10 took place, and we’ve had yet another look at the “Nike Pro Hijab” making its debut during the Saudi designer, Mashael AlRajhi’s fashion show.
