6 Easy Steps Into Keeping A Clean And Organized Wardrobe.

You open your wardrobe, you find all the clothes in the world, but yet it feels like you have nothing to wear for your sister’s graduation, right?! So you have to go through all the hassle, the anger and the stress to find the perfect dress that fits you well. Trust me, We’ve all been there.

Have you ever wondered why is this happening to you? Well, there are a lot of reasons as to why, but it might be because you haven’t cleaned your closet in forever or maybe because you’re simply a shopaholic.

1- Let go of the items that have been in your wardrobe for a decade.

First, the most common and simplest reason is that you haven’t thrown out any clothes in years. Leaving an item in your closet that still has the tag and have never been worn for over three months, then i’m pretty sure you won’t wear it anytime in the future. It has to go. Or that top you bought 10 years ago and think it might come back in style next fall? No, just let go of it!

2- Gifts you received, but never used.

Your best friend bought you a dress for your birthday, but you hate it and know for a fact won’t wear it, yet you love her and appreciate her so much that you believe you need to keep the dress. Wrong. You can keep the love, but you got to ditch the extra clothes!

3- Your pretty clothes don’t fit anymore.

You have probably gained or lost weight that your favorite clothes won’t fit you anymore. Or you think to yourself that you need to keep them for when you lose those extra 2 Kg. Physiologically, you need to get rid of them so they won’t be a constant reminder that you need to lose or gain more weight and that will stress you out and get you down.

4- Those favorite pieces of when you were a kid.

Keeping those onesies in your closet that you worn 2 decades ago, won’t help in keeping an organized closet. Unless you are willing to build those extra closets for your favorite, then skip reading this. Your emotions are only whats holding you back from letting them go. You already have those memories captured right? then just donate them, there are probably kids and others that need them more than your closet does.

5- Retail Therapy.

You’re feeling down and not yourself today and you’re also such a shopaholic that going shopping is your therapy? Trust me, don’t do it! think twice before buying that Philip Lim top, do you really need it? or do you just want it because it will make you happy for a split second?

6- Your closet is filled with items but they are almost all the same.

You have 12 identical black trousers and 20 white pairs of pumps and 10 white shirts. and just pray that maybe one day, they will come in handy. No, just start styling that white shirt that you already own. Use what you have. Create outfits with the same item until you realize you don’t need to buy more.
