Murtadha AlMalallah, President of Maseera, stated that the idea behind founding Maseera was because Mawhiba’s programs were so life-changing to him, that he felt compelled to change lives too by guiding the youth into the programs’ direction. He also mentioned that Maseera continues to exponentially increase the quality of its services and the cohesion of its team; members have successfully provided over 40 consultation and/or mentorship sessions since the official launch, and hundreds in the pilot test period. As a result, many schools have recently showed interest in the services provided. Murtadha advices; “Don’t wait until an opportunity arises. Look for things that interest you, and be open for new experiences.” He envisions Maseera as a source of guidance and a door for many opportunities to build the future of students and of Saudi Arabia.

Yasmeen AlSaif, Vice President and co-founder of Maseera, supported and worked with the President since day one, and has a major leading role in the organization. Her strongest motivation to begin working and helping students was stated as: “In a world where opportunity is reserved for the privileged, extending a helping hand to those who draw theirs out is of utmost importance.” She participated in Ibda’a for three years and successfully placed 6th place once and 3rd place twice, placed second in the Intel Arab Science Competition, and participated in Intel ISEF as a finalist for two consecutive years. Yasmeen closed with motivational words; “Don’t let the word ‘yes’ be your primary motivator, for you will not hear it very often.” She then affirmed that such programs which Maseera targets are unlike anything she has ever experienced, they made all the time she invested in preparation and execution worthwhile.

Lulwah AlShiha, head of communication and external relations, started her journey with Maseera by answering questions about the programs she participated in on her personal social media accounts, later on becoming a board member. She placed 2nd in Ibda’a and 4th in Intel ISEF 2015. Lulwah was very supportive to the idea of Maseera as she expressed: “As a person who faced some difficulties while applying and participating in Mawhiba’s programs and competitions, I know how much of a difference it makes to get guidance from someone who has recently been in your shoes.” She encourages every parent to push their children, as the earlier they’re pushed, the more dedicated they become. Lulwah shows pride talking about Maseera: “It adds me a feeling of ease knowing that we are helping guide Saudi’s youth to a brighter future!”
